Most warrior tanks will currently use the talent/glyph if needed for high damage encounters since it puts SW on a 2min cooldown and still reduces damage by 40%, which is significant. Plus, it gives them the benefit of being able to pop it more regularly to smooth out tricky situations.

Assuming a 4 minute encounter, you could use it twice and reduce the damage by 40% each time, or with this new setup use it once and reduce a period of damage by 80%. I suppose it will simply depend on what the incoming damage is as to which setup is more viable, or if that 80% is truly needed to survive, such as a high-powered dragon's breath on a less than adequately geared tank.

And as we know, Blizzard is working toward longer and longer encounters with multiple phases. I think we can expect tanks to having to utilize the cooldowns just as much as they do now, execpt now a warrior can tank shit too.

Every fight will have a Soul Reaper equivalent. That won't be fun at all.

Tanks Stamina curves
Since I am sure it will be asked based on that info, paladins and warriors have the same Stamina curves now. A naked warrior and paladin of the same race will have the same health at 85. Both Protection trees get the same amount of Stamina as a passive. That number will likely be something like 10 or 15% Stamina depending on tuning. (In our current build it is 15%.) In similar gear, their health should be very similar. We'll provide the differences in their cooldowns and how they tank. DKs and druids are likely to have different amounts of health as well.
