Video Game Hype – Bait, Switch, and Bullshit.

Over the past few weeks I have found myself discussing the events, changes, plans, lore, and everything else that has circulated around the upcoming release of World of Wacraft: Cataclysm. What is unusual is not that fact that I have been discussing the game, but at the frequency and excitement of which I have been discussing it. The plentiful discussions I’ve had with others involving Cataclysm made me notice how much I didn’t talk about other games before they were released, and why.

Global Agenda’s Advertisement Aimed at APB Failures – Smart or Desperate?

A few days ago I mentioned that All Points Bulletin was closing its doors after what was deemed largely as a failure of management. Over the weekend, Hi-Rez studios, the makers of fellow MMO Shooter “Global Agenda” posted an advertisement on Steam that was catered directly for the displaced APB players:

The Best to Come – Upcoming Games of 2011

While World of Warcraft may be my bread and butter of gaming consumption, I, like many of you, often like to play a myriad of other games in my spare time. After a very awkward transition into 3D gaming, it feels like games are finally getting back into another golden era where creativity and ingenuity has caught back up with technological advancement. It’s been a long time since I’ve been so excited for so many upcoming releases, and I thought I would share what I believe is some of the best stuff coming our way in the near future.
