Boss Blueprint Now Supports Firelands 4.2 Raid Content

With Patch 4.2 hot-in-progress on the PTR, Boss Blueprint now has all 8 boss encounter areas supported for guilds to use to create their strategies. Firelands is easily one of the most visually impressive raids to be released by Blizzard to date, accompanied with completely unique raid encounters, mechanics, and boss models.

While you’re making strategies, don’t forget to test out the new Drag & Drop feature by simply dragging the icons on to the encounter area!

Heroic Halfus Down – irnub moves to US #92 10 Man

Having worked diligently on this boss for several hours, we not only welcomed the very clean and smooth kill that resulted, but were impressed with the difficulty of our first heroic encounter. Considering that as of the time of this post 1 more heroic boss kill would put us as a Top 10 10-Man guild in the US, we are very much looking forward to the challenges ahead.

irnub Kills Nefarian – 12/12, US #98

Nefarian certainly proved to be a much greater challenge on the 10 man side of things in comparison to many of the other bosses that fell within a few attempts. As we move into hard modes next week we look forward to seeing how the encounters are tuned.

Al’Akir Down – irnub Breaks into Top 100 US 10 Man

With the downing of Al’Akir, irnub has moved to be a Top 100 US 10 Man guild, and hugging right next to Top 100 for all guilds. Great work and happy holidays!

irnub 8/12 after First Raid Week of Cataclysm

At the release of Cataclysm we quickly leveled to 85 and geared ourselves via the (then challenging) Heroic Dungeons, only to find ourselves face to face with our first raid boss a few days later. As our first full raid week progressed, we downed more than half of the normal mode content with a fair amount of ease and are greatly looking forward to the encounters we have not yet seen, especially the hard modes!

One of the more trying conquests, the Ascendant Council in the Bastion of Twilight, yielded us a US #76 kill and we aim to have much more of those when we approach content that requires real execution and not simply /played.

What’s more, is that we have greatly enjoyed the friendly competition on the server, both alliance and horde, and the drive for progression that so many guilds on Bleeding Hollow have — congratulations to all of them on their successful kills as well!

Over the past few weeks I have found myself discussing the events, changes, plans, lore, and everything else that has circulated around the upcoming release of World of Wacraft: Cataclysm. What is unusual is not that fact that I have been discussing the game, but at the frequency and excitement of which I have been discussing it. The plentiful discussions I’ve had with others involving Cataclysm made me notice how much I didn’t talk about other games before they were released, and why.

BlizzCon 2010 in Pictures (and Video!)

It is safe to say that BlizzCon 2010 was a wonderful event and all of the irnub crew that attended had an absolute blast. We really enjoyed all of the panels, playing the new games, and putting faces with names that we’ve met in game. What’s more, is we partied like there was no tomorrow along with the developers and fellow nerds.
