The moment was becoming so intense I wanted to squeal with delight. I looked into his eyes as he stared intently back at me. It was hot and humid, you could tell by the glistening on his sun-kissed skin. The air was so thick you could almost penetrate it with a dagger. He spoke, “Are you nervous?” I took a deep breath and nodded back. I never get apprehensive but I didn’t know what to expect. This was my first time and his third. He knew what to do. This position was not unfamiliar to him. He grabbed my hand and my heart quickened. “Are you ready?”….”Ready as I’ll ever be.”
Blizzcon is the world series of gaming events. It’s a time when every nerd can hang out with others who share their enthusiasm for Blizzard MMO’s. Here you can stroke your epeen from dusk till dawn with other serious gamers like those from the Elitist Jerks. Spending 8-10 hours a day in room big enough to house an entire servers inhabitants makes for one boisterous weekend. I have had the opportunity of attending several events ranging from Britney Spears to Green Day, the Maple Leafs to the New York Giants, partying at TAO in NY and sipping cocktails at Jet in Las Vegas, but nothing gets my heart rate going like Blizzcon does.
The panels were informative discussing everything from the simplification of stats on gear to the new guild talent tree specifications. They offered up tons of trailers and pictures of the new world that Cataclysm will be offering up. The Q & A period resembled a real life trade chat with people yelling out things like, “LEARN TO SHOCK BADDIE” to “DOES THE CARPET MATCH THE DRAPES?” It really truly is something you don’t want to miss.
The Con doesn’t come up short on comedy and laughs. Jay Mohr hosting the costume, sound-a-like and machinima contests will have you screaming your head off in enjoyment. Have a beer or soda along with him as his fetish for Azeroth’s woman becomes more apparent leaving the crowd /lol’ing for hours. Ozzy Osborne sure delivered along with the Tauren Chieftans who made the long trek from Blackrock Depths just to be there for our entertainment.
Meeting the likes of Ghostcrawler and the cast of “The Guild” definitely added to the weekend. NVIDIA and Razor being present offering up goodies was an added bonus. Maybe I have come to love WoW too much or maybe I delight in the idea of meeting some of my guildies IRL at the biggest LAN party in the world. Tickets go on sale today at 7 pm PST. Will you be there alongside me screaming “FOR THE HORDE!” in the face of 15 000 alliance? I hope so.

I am so incredibly excited that we were able to get tickets!
You are a nerd Sinn.
Seriously.
/hugs
You love it! You had your chance to save me from this. You never did. I won’t be satisfied till I drag your ass to Blizzcon so we can be rejoice in our nerdism together.
@ Krieg
Several people on our current server were able to get tickets. We had much better luck this year.
Anyone else lucky enough to snag some on the first round?
Sinn, hopefully Krieg will be able to get me a ticket in this next round so I can go on my R&R and we can party like rock stars. Don’t want to miss this year as hopefully the new mmo is announced
If people in war zones are willing to spend their leave time at the convention then they should seriously give them a special round of tickets…. Leave opportunities are like, sacred.
If worse comes to worse I will try to call blizzard store support, two years ago when I was deployed they helped me out with buying a ticket after they were sold out. So who knows maybe they will be nice if Krieg fails me.
Luckily we got you one!
Luckily is right yo!!!! I want to thank all of you who helped in procuring me a ticket. Pokeadot, your drinks the entirity of blizzcon will be on me. Krieg, I promise to make sweet sweet passionate love to you. Orestia, I promise to make sweet sweet passionate love to your husband. Sinn, you can watch me and Krieg.
I am so so happy that we all got a ticket this year! This will be my first year attending Blizzcon and to be honest I cannot wait.
Umm, I think the interviewer asked “does the carpet match the curtains?”. Then Felicia Day replied “What does that mean?” The look on her face was worth the price of admission alone… I can imagine (sorry, Blizzcon is not my thing >_<)
My guild actually lost about an hour of raid time while my other guildies were trying to get tickets online. /WRISTS Anyways, grats on the tickets guys!
On behalf of my guildies who didn't get theirs…. "HAX!!!" <3
The look on her face was incredible. I think I blushed for her as she looked at the rest of her “guild” and cast with a /shrug. Her and the rest of the gang were incredibly fantastic allowing everyone to get pics at the hotel bar each night.
I asked my guild to take a break during hard mode Lich King attempts to get in queue because getting tickets is serious buisness, amirite?
Sorry to your guildies who were not successful. I am sure it will be a yearly tradition if you want to join us in vent next year for groans and sighs as we compare queue line placement.
